Join us in a live community reading of Frederick Douglass's famous speech, which unpacks the paradox of patriotism against the backdrop of inequity. Featuring musical improvisation by violinist Josh Henderson, and music from Dorothy Rudd Moore's opera based on the life of the famous abolitionist performed by artists from The Dream Unfinished. Music by Margaret Bonds and Harry T. Burleigh will also be performed. Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
