Sofia Geck

Managing Director

Sofia Geck is a writer, composer, and music director based in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and psychology from Barnard College, and currently works as a writer for children’s television and a music director in the NYC musical theater scene. Her children’s writing has included live-action and animated projects for Sesame Workshop and PBS Kids, and her work consistently explores themes of identity, self-discovery, and empathy for audiences of all ages. She first volunteered with TDU in 2017 and, inspired by the orchestra’s performances and mission, joined the TDU team in 2022 as Administrative Assistant.
